Haberdasheries, Moroccan Tea and Shish-a - Nairobi Day 2

Nairobi Day 1.
I awake to the sounds of birds and the smell of fresh rain. After a healthy juice breakfast we headed out to the city to run some errands. The weather is beautiful, the temperature is perfect and the sky is blue. We took a drive around the city, where you can pretty much get anywhere in 20 minutes, through dirt roads and the only 2 lane 'major' highway that spans the city. Needless to say, it was nice to not see 8 lanes of tarmac, but driving in Nairobi is rather interesting, as you have to fight through pedestrians, cars and taxis.

Dirt road travels.

The Central Business district, as about as skyscraper-ish as you'll get in Kenya.

The Diamond Plaza, which is essentially little India in Nairobi, this is were we went to get my blouse stitched for my Saree for the wedding.

Having coffee in the Westgate Mall

The view from our table.

The coffee house.

A little taste of Morocco at the Shish-a Cafe Habibi with some Moroccan tea.

This is what they brought our bill in!
