Turbulence - Travel Day 1

A rather bumpy start to the journey almost left me high and dry in LA for good and for a second there I almost felt this trip fall out the palm of my hand.

I have this to say to United Airlines.

Due to either the incompetence in human communication, the English language or both, your personelle manning the information booth at baggage check are rude, more unhelpful than the TSA and I am sure have cost many of your flyers a lot of unnecessary hassle, and from what I saw this morning, a lot of missed flights! I missed the first flight ever in my flying career due to your staff not doing their jobs correctly and your company so over selling all of your flights that customer service is virtually non existent.

With only a few short hours to spare on my first layover, it's nothing short of a miracle that I managed to get onto the next fully booked flight to Newark an make my first international connection by a hair! To that one helpful person in a sea of cold hearted disregard I thank you. Although my allegiance to the star alliance has been somewhat diminished today.

So the turbulence has subsided and the seat belt sign is off, we are back on track and ready to hit the Atlantic crossing.

Signing off from the USA
